Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Android Developer, you’ll work with a tech team to:
- Build and maintain Android applications using Java or Kotlin
- Create UI layouts using XML and apply Material Design principles
- Connect apps with APIs and handle data using JSON/Retrofit/Volley
- Fix bugs, optimize performance, and enhance user experience
- Test your code on real or virtual devices
- Collaborate with backend developers and designers
- Use Git for version control and submit code regularly
- Participate in agile-style daily or weekly check-ins
Essential Skills & Qualifications
You should have:
- Basic understanding of Java or Kotlin
- Familiarity with Android Studio IDE
- Experience with UI design using XML
- Understanding of activity lifecycle, fragments, intents, and permissions
- Basic knowledge of networking (APIs, REST)
- Eagerness to learn and solve real technical problems
- A reliable internet connection and a personal laptop/PC
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Mandatory)
- Experience with Firebase (Authentication, Realtime DB, Firestore)
- Familiarity with MVVM architecture
- Understanding of Room Database, Jetpack Components
