As a Big Data Engineer, you will work with large datasets, optimize data pipelines, and build scalable big data solutions for enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities – Big Data Engineer Jobs (Remote)
- Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines for large-scale data processing.
- Work with big data frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
- Implement real-time and batch data processing solutions.
- Manage and process structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Develop and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for big data applications.
- Use cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable data engineering solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
- Understanding of big data processing frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data storage (AWS S3, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Lake).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data pipeline optimization.
Preferred (But Not Mandatory) Skills
- Experience with data orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Luigi.
- Knowledge of message brokers like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing technologies like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Certifications in AWS Big Data, Google Cloud Data Engineering, or Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals.
