Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, testing, and maintaining marine vessels and offshore structures.
- Conduct research on ship stability, hydrodynamics, and fuel efficiency.
- Work with teams to improve propulsion systems, hull design, and navigation systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic marine systems.
- Ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate on projects involving renewable energy and sustainable marine technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0 to 6 months of experience (Internships in shipbuilding, offshore engineering, or naval architecture preferred).
- Basic understanding of ship structures, propulsion systems, and fluid dynamics.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino) for marine design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred (But Not Mandatory) Skills
- Familiarity with maritime regulations (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Exposure to computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and structural analysis (FEA).
- Understanding of corrosion prevention, materials science, and marine coatings.
- Knowledge of engine performance, fuel efficiency, and automation in ships.
